POWGirls offers workshops in video production, cinematography, audio recording, set lighting, digital editing and media literacy for girls and non-binary youth ages 15-19.
12 years, 21 workshops and 27 films!!
Our instructors are working media producers who inspire participants to be creative, tech-savvy leaders who will help realize gender equity in the film industry.
POWGirls supports all participants in their media education, regardless of race, ethnicity, class, religion, ability, sexuality or gender expression.
Scholarships are available upon request - no one is turned away due to lack of funds. Contact tara@powfest.com with questions.

In this week long intensive workshop, participants will collaborate to create an original short video.
Each day, participants will build their skills, learning concept creation, storyboarding, DSLR cinematography, audio recording, lighting, and post-production using Adobe Premiere Pro. No experience is necessary for this workshop.
